FOOD POST - STIR FRIES IN OYSTER SAUCE



Today has been great!Aside the fact that I was able to sleep for most parts of the day, I got some great news that had me smiling all day. In the spirit of the happiness,I decided to cook a meal and it turned out really well! I call it the ‘oyster sauce à la Chrissy’(Just kidding),  it is Stir Fries in oyster sauce. Well, if you love Chinese food as much as I do, you would love this too. Because I love everyone here,i am sharing the recipe to this special sauce so you can cook it for yourself, your family, that special person or that party. *smiles*

Ingredients
Carrots
Green Pepper
Onions
oyster sauce
Ginger
Garlic
Gizzard
Oil

Tin tomatoes/ Tomato paste
Pepper
Spices(black pepper,seasoning cube)
N.B-You can use as many vegetables as you want.


1.Blend some onions, ginger,pepper and garlic

2.season your washed gizzard with the blended mixture and add a little spice(DO NOT ADD SALT)



3.Steam the gizzard for 15 minutes.


4.Dice the carrots,green pepper and onions(and any other vegetables you want to use)

5.Heat about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a saucepan
Add a little onion and stir fry for a minute.Add the tin tomatoes/tomato paste and continue to stir fry over low heat.

6.After about 3 minutes, add the remaining vegetables. 



7.Pour the gizzard and broth/stock unto the vegetables and tin tomato mix and let it boil


8.When it begins to boil,add a little bit of the oyster sauce(N.B-The sauce is very salty /sweet so be sure to put just enough depending on how much the sauce is)

Allow to simmer for about 10minutes



Food is ready!

You can serve it with rice, noodles, irish potatoes or whatever you want.
