Sundays are my favorite days of the week and that is because I get to go to church and praise the Lord for all his goodness and mercies(yes,i am spiritual like that). I also love going to church because i get too see' my kids'(i am a sunday school teacher ).The kids bring sunshine into my life even though they are naughty half of the time..I am always looking for new ways to make my  class fun to give the kids a reason to come to church every Sunday(drop a comment if you have any ideas). So today, i organised a competition and it was fun! The kids were just super excited and brought on their A game for the competition. Well, at the end my pastors daughter won and now i owe her a first prize(any ideas???). Well, aside the competition, we also had  an interesting discussion on Quiet time which i would love to share with you.

QUIET TIME: WHEN , HOW?
Quiet time entails spending time with God. Paul told the Thessalonians to “pray without ceasing” and God told Joshua to meditate on his word day and night (1 Thess 5:17; Joshua 1:8) As Christians, we are to make it a point to make God a big part of our lives because without him we are nothing.
            Quiet time= prayer+ word+ meditation+remembrance
Before you start your quiet time,it is important to pray  for the Holy Spirit to  help you get understanding of the word you are about to read. After that, you read the word, meditate on it and try to remember it always.
Having your quiet time is as easy as ABC. All you need is a Bible. If you don't have a devotional guide, you can choose to read a chapter of the Bible a day and pray for the Spirit to give you the understanding of the word you are reading. If you have a devotional guide, it make your work even much easier.it would guide you to have your quiet time.
Sometimes life get in the way and we are unable to spend quality time with our maker(even i am guilty of this); We get too busy at work,we are tired, we wake up late but in all things we need to put God first. You don't need to set aside an hour to spend time with him. You can do that anywhere:in traffic,in the bathroom, whilst waiting for a client...literally anywhere!

I hope i have inspired someone(including myself) to have their quiet time daily from today.. Amen!

Much love!
